CLATUU Fat Freezing

CLATUU works through a process known as apoptosis, which occurs when cooling energy is delivered to fat cells in the treatment area. Because fat freezes at a higher temperature than other cells in the body, the fat cells can be destroyed without damaging surrounding skin and tissue. Destroyed fat cells are eliminated by the body’s lymphatic system, while the treatment area becomes leaner and more sculpted over time. The cooling system on the CLATUU device offers 360° cooling, drawing the skin into the applicators so the targeted cooling can be more efficiently delivered into the treatment area. The procedure is safe, relatively painless and very effective in reducing stubborn areas of fat that have not responded to diet and exercise.

  • After the treatment, the fat cells are naturally metabolised and excreted by the body, permanently removing the treated fat cells. This process occurs over the next three months, after which the results will be visible. The same area can be re-treated 4 to 6 weeks after the initial treatment to enhance the results. Patients can be expected to experience bruising, tenderness, redness in the treated area.

  • Clatuu offers body contouring results, but it is not a weight loss procedure. It is typically recommended for patients that have achieved a healthy weight but have localised areas of fat that have not responded to weight loss efforts. The procedure is appropriate for both men and women and can be performed on any skin type and tone. The device tends to work best on bulges of fat that can be drawn into the applicators for efficient cooling.

  • Results of your Clatuu treatment will appear gradually as treated fat cells are eliminated. You will start to notice a reduction in the size of the treatment area within weeks, with full results usually appearing within 6-12 weeks. Once those results are apparent, they will be permanent as long as a healthy weight is maintained after the procedure.
